What this session is not
The session gives you an experienced, honest and independent opinion. It is deliberately not:
- A formal novelty or patentability search
- Legal or financial advice
- A full market study
- An engineering study or design work
- A certified feasibility study
- A guarantee of technical feasibility, protectability or commercial success
Inventus may also advise you honestly to adjust your plans, or not to invest further.
How your idea stays yours
- Inventus is contractually bound to confidentiality through the booking terms. No separate NDA is used.
- You remain the owner of your idea and of all information you provide.
- Inventus does not publish your information, does not use it for other clients and does not share it without your permission, except where the law requires it.
- Please do not send product details, technical working principles, drawings, photos, presentations or prototypes in advance. There is no file upload on this page for that reason.
- During the meeting you decide yourself what you share and when, so you can build trust first.
Frequently asked questions
Do we sign a separate NDA?
No separate NDA is used. Inventus is contractually bound to confidentiality through the booking terms you accept when you request the session. You remain the owner of your idea and your information. Inventus does not publish it, does not use it for other clients and does not share it without your permission, except where the law requires it.
What should I send in advance?
Nothing about the idea itself. Please do not send product details, technical working principles, drawings, photos, presentations, prototypes or other confidential content in advance. The request form only asks who you are and what you expect from the conversation.
Online or on location?
Both are possible: online, or at Inventus in Sint-Niklaas. You indicate your preference in the request form.
How does payment work?
The fixed fee is 795 euro excl. VAT and is paid in full in advance, after Inventus has accepted the request and before the appointment is scheduled.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
You can reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before the appointment. In case of later cancellation or no-show the fee is not refunded, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Is a follow-up assignment obligatory?
No. There is no obligatory follow-up. Inventus may also honestly advise you to adjust course or not to invest further.
